In addition, strong observational, interpersonal and analytical skills are also required. The ability to do great research helps you look at information and draw important conclusions. In addition, psychologists need problem-solving skills as they gather data, analyze systems, and find solutions to mental health and behavioural problems.

Psychologists often work with other relevant healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes for their clients. For example, patients may be referred to speech therapy or occupational therapy for social skills training. They can collaborate with pharmacists to find the best medicines for their clients. Or, care can be arranged with a social worker and an education team to help the student succeed in school.

What services do psychologists provide?

Psychologists utilize scientific knowledge to understand human behaviour and apply it to their profession. Psychologists offer their expertise by analyzing and diagnosing problems, developing evidence-based strategies and treatments, and providing guidance and support
